🏛️ Venus in the Street — By Daniel and Miguel Ángel in Alcalá de Henares, Spain 🇪🇸

A headless, armless Venus de Milo in a snowy street at night, taller than the car parked beside her. Lifelong friends Daniel and Miguel Ángel set out to build a snowman during Storm Filomena in January 2021, and when the pile reached three meters in the Parque del Ángel neighborhood of Alcalá de Henares, near Madrid, they carved Venus out of it. They took their time on the drapery.

    1. He really is — and this face isn’t carved at all: Arkadiusz Andrejkow paints his snow portraits with spray paint straight onto the snowbank. He started these melting little works over a decade ago, impatient for spring so he could get back to painting walls, and in Poland he’s also known for portraits of past villagers painted on old wooden barns. https://streetartutopia.com/2022/12/19/the-recent-heavy-snowfall-allowed-for-the-creation-of-portraits-painted-with-spray-paint-on-the-snow/
