What the Trees Kept (9 Photos)
Trusted by 1.7M+ on Facebook ↗
People left them behind. The trees did not.
A headstone. A bicycle. A Buddha head. A millstone. In these nine places, bark and roots have slowly closed around old objects and old stone until they became part of the tree.

I love this one, wondering the inside, is there a tunnel, a room ?
If you mean the Ta Prohm doorway in Angkor, Patricia, yes, there’s a whole temple behind it! Five rectangular walls surround a central sanctuary, and the three inner enclosures are lined with stone galleries (corridors), with towers, libraries and a Hall of Dancers inside. Because parts have collapsed, visitors today wind their way through it almost like a maze, often right under the roots. Its founding stele from 1186 says more than 12,500 people once lived at the site: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ta_Prohm
I have a beautiful addition to your trees. In Ballard. Seattle Washington USA there are two different species of fruit bearing trees that have grown together and thrived due to a piece of Industrial Slag wedged between them.
What a great find, Alisha! Trees that fuse like that have a name: inosculation, from the Latin for “to kiss into”. When two trunks or branches rub together, the bark wears away, and once the growing layers underneath touch they can graft themselves into one. True grafts usually only happen between the same or closely related species, which is why two different fruit trees thriving together around a piece of slag is such an unusual sight. Joined pairs like this are often nicknamed “husband and wife” or “marriage” trees: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inosculation
