๐Ÿด โ€œThe Eden Horseโ€ โ€” By Heather Jansch in Devon, England, UK ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง

The neck, body and legs are built from pieces of driftwood. Heather Jansch (1948โ€“2021) became known for life-size horses made from driftwood. One of them was voted the most popular artwork at the Eden Project in Cornwall and has been known as The Eden Horse ever since. This photo was taken in her garden in Olchard, Devon.

๐Ÿ’ก Eden Fact: The original driftwood horse at Edenโ€™s entrance grew so fragile that it went to the foundry to be cast in bronze, so it can be kept.

A pony and her foal, laid out on the sand with pebbles, seaweed and driftwood. Beach4Artโ€™s Ieva Slare and Dzintars Slars needed about eight hours over two days, ITV reported. The tide left it alone overnight, so they could come back to finish the mane and tail.

๐Ÿ’ก Pony Fact: Exmoor ponies are still classed as endangered. The Exmoor Pony Society estimates about 500 live on Exmoor today.

A white horse painted as if bursting through a bricked-up window of an old pink building in Cherbourg, beside a real open doorway where a person sits

๐ŸŽ โ€œTrompe lโ€™ล“ilโ€ โ€” By Blesea in Cherbourg, France ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท

A white horse seems to jump out of a bricked-up window, while the real doorway next to it stands open. The person sitting in that doorway shows how big the horse is. Blesea shared the 2025 wall simply as โ€œTrompe lโ€™ล“il, Cherbourg 2025โ€.

๐Ÿ’ก Horse Fact: Gray horses are born with dark coats and turn lighter with age, some almost white. The gene behind it is dominant, UC Davisโ€™ Center for Equine Health explains.

๐ŸŽ Cartujano Horse โ€” By Fran Castro (Cosa V) in Jerez, Spain ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ

A pale Cartujano horse stands under shafts of golden light, with the Cartuja de Jerez monastery and its bridge behind it. The mural in La Asunciรณn is almost 13 meters high, local press reports, and Castro documented its seven days of painting.

๐Ÿ’ก Breed Fact: The Cartujano is a line within the Pura Raza Espaรฑola, not a breed of its own. A pedigree and genome study found that seven horses accounted for half of the PRE populationโ€™s genetic variability, and all seven were 100 percent Carthusian.
