SMOK painted this mural in 2024 for the third and final edition of The Bridges on the wall of a working bakery at Potentestraat 24. In his post about the work, he explains that the theme was crafts, so he chose a baker kneading dough and used traditional brushes in a nod to the old Flemish masters. 💡 Nerd Fact: Wallin’s artist biography records that SMOK first painted graffiti in 1986, took a 15-year break and returned in 2013.

Neil’s one-cookie-a-day rule has hit a technical snag. Zinn’s official page for the work dates it to April 2019 in Ann Arbor and identifies the materials as chalk, charcoal and an unusually appealing utility cover. 💡 Nerd Fact: Before becoming known for sidewalk art, Zinn spent more than two decades as a commercial illustrator. His official biography lists landfill murals, environmental-superhero designs and hand-painted dump trucks among his commissions.

💡 Nerd Fact: In a 2017 interview, Rogue-One traced his interest in graffiti to the worldwide spread of hip-hop culture in the late 1980s. He said his parallel interest in classical art shifted his practice from letterforms toward characters and, eventually, photorealistic murals.

The blue café evokes Saturday-night dances, fried food and local Verveine Authentique; the seated newspaper reader is Joseph Servant, who founded the town’s twinning committee in 1987.
