Couldn’t Keep a Straight Face (8 Photos vol. 2)

Split image showing CATMAN’s Queen Elizabeth II riding a hoverboard with three corgis and Endo’s smiling man holding a real streetlamp.

Some ideas are impossible to take seriously.

In East Dulwich, the Queen rides a hoverboard with three corgis on leads. In Čačak, a painted old man grabs a real streetlamp and grins. The other six are small jokes on walls, pipes, parking lots and one Oregon hillside.

CATMAN stencil mural of Queen Elizabeth II in a headscarf and quilted jacket riding a hoverboard while walking three corgis on leads, East Dulwich, London

👑 Queen Elizabeth II on a Hoverboard — By CATMAN in East Dulwich, London, England 🇬🇧

The Queen, in headscarf and quilted jacket, rolls along on a hoverboard while three corgis pull ahead on their leads. CATMAN first painted her on a Lordship Lane wall for her 90th birthday, after leaving the wall’s owners a letter asking for permission, Southwark News reported. In 2022 she returned on a new wall by a coffee shop on Frogley Road, just off Lordship Lane, repainted with help from Dulwich Street Art in time for the Platinum Jubilee, as the organizer posted on the East Dulwich Forum. Photo by Paul Davies.

💡 Royal Fact: The corgis are not random extras. The Royal Collection Trust says Princess Elizabeth was given a corgi named Susan for her 18th birthday in 1944, and every corgi she bred after that descended from Susan.

Aerial view of a dark green Douglas fir forest with a giant yellow smiley face formed by larch trees in fall, near Grand Ronde, Oregon

🌲 The Smiley Face Forest — Grand Ronde, Oregon, USA 🇺🇸

Every fall, a giant yellow smiley face appears in a dark green Oregon forest. Forester Dennis Creel and Hampton Lumber co-owner David Hampton planted it in 2011 while replanting the hillside, Fox Weather explains. It is about 300 feet across, so most people only see it from the air.

💡 Forest Fact: The face is larch, a conifer that turns yellow before it drops its needles. The eyes and mouth are evergreen Douglas fir, so the smile only shows in fall. Full Fact checked the viral photos and confirmed they are real.
