🐦 “Blue Bird of Happiness” — By Tom Bob in New Bedford, Massachusetts, USA 🇺🇸

A metal vent becomes a yellow beak, while the pipe below forms a long blue neck and orange legs. A round blue body is painted on the brickwork. Tom Bob’s Blue Bird of Happiness was made at Gomes Elementary School in New Bedford, Massachusetts. He shared the finished bird on November 7, 2020.

🛶 “Nadine Navigates a Gullywasher” — By David Zinn

💡 Nerd Fact: The title Nadine Navigates a Gullywasher uses a dialect word for a brief, exceptionally heavy downpour. Nadine is one of Zinn’s recurring characters, alongside Sluggo the green monster and Philomena the flying pig.

🐕 “Sultán” — By JM Brea in Villafranca, Spain 🇪🇸

With his mouth open and front legs stretched out, Sultán fills the side of a building. The people standing below show just how large he is. JM Brea describes him as a livestock-guarding mastiff and a nod to the dog in Velázquez’s Las Meninas. The mural was painted for 31330 Art Festival in May 2026, whose official program places Brea’s wall at Carretera Pamplona 19 in Villafranca, Navarra.

🕊️ “Fly Like a Bird” — By Demut with WandKonzepte in Berlin, Germany 🇩🇪

A laughing child swings high above a painted mountain landscape. The chains reach toward the roofline, and a blue-and-orange bird flies overhead. Demut’s mural covers the side of an apartment building at Vincent-van-Gogh-Straße 24, by the corner of Randowstraße in Berlin-Hohenschönhausen.

💡 Nerd Fact: The mural covers an 11-story facade in Berlin-Hohenschönhausen. According to the commissioner, its design draws on visual elements from Vincent van Gogh’s paintings.

🎗️ The Ribbon Gymnast — By OAKOAK

Coils of razor wire become the loops of a gymnast’s ribbon. OAKOAK’s small black silhouette has one leg extended and one arm raised. From this angle, the raised hand lines up with the wire.

🪂 Parachuting Bart — By Tom Bob

Bart Simpson dangles beneath a white parachute, a few feet above the sidewalk. Tom Bob uses a metal pipe fitting for the character’s body and paints the canopy across the wall above.

🐈 Tombili — By Seval Şahin in Istanbul, Turkey 🇹🇷

💡 Nerd Fact: Seval Şahin studied animal-anatomy books and used a friend’s cat, Badem, as a reference while making Tombili’s memorial. She modelled the sculpture in clay before it was cast in bronze, chosen for its durability outdoors. The statue was unveiled in Kadıköy on October 4, 2016, World Animal Day, after a campaign supported by around 17,000 people.
