A small bat a few years ago chose the entrance of The Next Page bookshop in Calgary as its resting spot.
The bookstore put up a sign: ‘Please open the door carefully as there is a bat sleeping on it.’
The bat, likely a Little Brown Myotis, peacefully clung to the wooden doorframe, delighting customers. Wildlife specialists were called to ensure its safety, highlighting a charming moment of urban nature in an unexpected place.
