As part of the Ecodonkey project, an initiative by AEPGA supported by the Environmental Fund, the artist Bordalo II created two murals of the Miranda donkey, which can be visited at the Iberian Nature and Adventure Park (PINTA) in Vimioso.

The main objective of the Ecodonkey project was to promote environmental education and awareness in rural communities in the municipality of Vimioso, drawing attention to the importance of reducing waste and reusing materials whenever possible.

The project culminated in two works by the artist, perpetuating the representation of the Miranda donkey in its territory of origin. The artworks serve as a reminder that preserving the biodiversity of indigenous species and breeds is fundamental for the ecological and sociocultural balance of rural communities, and highlight the importance of environmental sustainability in our daily lives.
