Street Artist Giulio “Rosk” Gebbia
“ROOTS” by Giulio Rosk Gebbia in Mangone, Italy for Gulìa Urbana.
About the mural: Rosk painted this mural in Mangone, a small Calabrian town, highlighting, with his style, how important one’s place of origin is. A parallel between a local human being and a bee-eater. The migratory bird chooses to nest in the Calabrian territory because it considers it a safe place to raise its young. Once grown and become strong, it prepares to leave the nest, looking towards other shores, just like the human being. A distant look, but with the heart and mind always attached to one’s roots.
