Sculpture Kwame Akoto-Bamfo
Kwame Akoto-Bamfo is a Ghanaian sculptor. His outdoor sculpture ‘Nkyinkim’ is dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Transatlantic slave trade is on display at the National Memorial for Peace and Justice that opened in 2018 in Montgomery, Alabama, USA.
Kwame Akoto-Bamfo: Thank you all for your unending support and for sharing in Ghana and worldwide. Lynching’s and slavery is a very uncomfortable topic for many, but someone has to talk about them. Someone has to remind us not to repeat. Special thanks to Bryan Stevenson and Equal Justice Initiative for picking this up and inviting me to contribute to these human rights narratives.
