One of the problems is the differing definitions of what constitutes �engagement.� You define engagement as �highly active consumers,� something I always associated with �heavy users.� But in the social media sphere, everyone uses the word �engagement� as a synonym for �dialogue� and two-way communication.
Not given the budget, it doesn�t rate well for Fox. If this were any other show, it would have been pulled from the lineup by now. They have to figure out how to align their expenses (i.e., J-Lo and Seacrest�s salaries) with the new reality that lower viewership means lower ad dollars.

another thing you can do is befriend people who already have a large internet following and piggyback off them by getting them to endorse you perhaps by mentioning you in their blog. even just commenting on their page and leaving a link could help direct traffic to your site.
